SUMO Credenza
(Not for sale)
Six feet long, 29” tall and 19” deep.
This was an epic project, and remains as my largest piece of furniture to date.
The top and sides are bookmatched Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry). The grain runs up one side, along the top, and down the other side, and is joined in the upper corners by hand-cut, variable-width dovetails. The fronts are figured Jatoba. The shaped legs, which flare out in all four directions are Mahogany.
Custom-machined aluminum hardware. Finished with sprayed conversion varnish.
